Peter Reed started his career at Ambit Creative Group while still in college earning his Management Degree at Bentley. As part of the original Ambit team in 1992, Peter has made a career of listening. Listening to marketing struggles. Listening to creative needs. Listening to ideas. Listening to people from organizations of every shape and size.
True listening only comes with commitment and curiosity. Peter has always displayed both. He has the kind of curiosity and tenacity that supported the establishment of the first web-to-print ERP system integration in the country, and the kind of commitment that builds a 20+ year-long career, growing from a door-to-door marketing presenter role to President.
By truly listening to those around him, Peter has become finely attuned to the marketing needs of his clients. He loves nothing more than building an inspiring team and together crafting a full array of solutions that deliver meaningful results.
Peter loves to listen. And he’s excited by the possibilities he hears.
Dean loves to discover, understand, plan, and see results. What else would you expect from a guy with an engineering degree and an MBA?
Dean often introduces himself as “not the creative person in this relationship.” His focus on supporting the creative process, removing road blocks on both sides of the table, and letting the results and business impact speak for themselves.
When he isn’t in meetings or creating in Excel, Dean can be found outside working the garden, on the golf course, or in the kitchen. The current challenge: paella as good as his great aunt’s.
A recent transplant to the east coast, Paul has been telling stories around the world for two decades. During his twelve years in Chicago, he worked with companies like CNN, Intel, Warner Brothers, LIFE Magazine, and firms like Ogilvy & Mather to solve storytelling puzzles big and small.
And when he wasn’t forming creative solutions for those companies, he was landing on the New York Times Bestseller list, being published in eight languages, animating title sequences for shows, and writing and directing films with Academy award nominees.
Through all his myriad projects, Paul’s been a firm believer that no two projects are alike, that every project has its own voice. He loves digging into projects to find that voice, and sculpting creative structures from that foundation.
Wes says, “Marketing of any size budget can be impressive… as long the right message is going to the right audience.” There’s no doubt your brand will find that audience when Wes is involved.
He cut his teeth in the print industry when design meant a light table, glue wheels, and Exacto knives, then jumped careers and worked for a decade at WFNX 101.7 radio while spinning wax in every nightclub in Boston. Now custom packaging, classy wearables, and nifty promo items all find their way to his desk. “Wanna sock monkey wearing your t-shirt? We’ve done that!” (We have. It was adorable.)
Lisa has reveled in drawing and drafting from an early age. Her school notebooks were flooded with doodles (and, she swears, some actual notes). Her love for design grew in those doodles, from an appreciation of story, from the ability to convey complex ideas through simple uses of color. Over the years the power of that ability never lost its allure or mystery. It was only natural that she carry that creative obsession into her career.
Having dabbled in a variety of subjects and mediums – from animation, to sculpture, to web – Lisa has always been up for new challenges. One of her greatest joys is discovering new ways of working, and finding solutions to difficult design problems.
Lisa is nothing if not passionate about learning. Her current focus? Cinematography (with a minor in coffee). Her new Sunday routine is to curl up on the couch, put on a good movie… and then take screenshots of the best compositions to study later. Coffee and CinemaScope: the perfect weekend.
From his toddler days of sketching Dr. Seuss characters, to learning the latest coding and techniques for the web, Adam has always reveled in inventiveness. He loves nothing more than evolving and staying current on the latest solutions, unearthing a more complete method of conveying a message. A close second is clam chowder. He loves a good chowder.
His true passion forms around developing beautiful website… that beauty stemming from seamless interfaces and effortless user experiences that leave a lasting impression with their simplicity. Adam’s a firm believer that design should enhance the users experience, not get in the way.
In his free time, Adam enjoys staying active and exploring new areas. Whether it’s running-hikes with his spitfire of a dog or trying out the best new restaurants with friends, he’s always up for new experiences and perspectives.
Kevin loves design for its ability to make sense of the world. Originally from the Hudson Valley, Kevin in a new resident to the Boston area (the man loves cold weather!) where he’s using creative, critical thinking and a keen eye for detail to help make sense of the world one project at a time.
Kevin’s a connoisseur of all things typography, whether the letters are printed in ink or flying with abandon across the screen. He’s also a connoisseur of the color orange. He’s not yet convinced the rest of the team that you can be a connoisseur of a color, but give him time. He’s a convincing guy.
When he’s not working on a design project or playing with type, Kevin can be found watching movies, reading comics, or playing awesome board games. In other words: storytelling and problem solving. An Ambit natural.
Mix part technical, part creative, and an overall love for the union of technology and print and what do you get? Joe.
Joe’s varied interests began at a young age. He started with technology, building his own computer when he wasn’t much more than ten. During his early teens, he worked at a local printshop, which fostered his love for print and design. And that young love eventually matured into a degree in Graphic Design.
At Ambit, Joe gets to utilize every facet of these interests by maintaining Web-to-Print catalogs for many of Ambit’s clients. When the call comes in for a rush job in another department? Joe’s switching hats and hopping in, with gusto.
